„Trust in the You of Now“ is the title of ROMIE’s debut album which the two young singer songwriters released in autumn 2020 via their record label Bauer Studios (GER). Highly acclaimed by press and critics, the Rolling Stone Magazine describes the „dreamy LP“ as a „cross between the artists Feist and Norah Jones“. Romie itself sees the albumtitle as a wee musical reminder for the listener that the „you of the present“ is okay as it is, regardless of all that happened in the past or how the future will change you. But what does ROMIE sound liker in „the here and now“ of 2024? Deeply rooted in the sound of 60s folk music (Dylan, Mitchell, Cohen, Baez, CSN) the young duo now combines their divine harmonies with a few more indie and dreamrock sounds, occasionally switching acoustic guitars and upright bass with their electric siblings.
